Great Barrier Reef Day

First up on your Rainforest, Rafting and Reef package. Join the crew aboard “Reef Experience” for an unforgettable journey. Visit 2 pristine outer Great Barrier Reef locations and discover the breathtaking wonders for yourself.

Reef experience is the only FULLY INCLUSIVE Great Barrier Reef Trip departing from Cairns. Inner City Bus transfers, BBQ Bacon and Egg Rolls for breakfast when boarding, unlimited snorkelling, Certified Dive or Introductory Dive, Glass bottom boat tour and more.

Barron River Rafting Day

Experience the fun, thrills and spills on a white water rafting half day you will never forget. Ride the rush of exciting Barron River through the Barron Gorge National Park.  A fantastic introduction to White Water Rafting. It’s fun, exciting and exhilarating, suitable for all the family. Enjoy up to two hours rafting, on up to grade 3 rapids.

Your trained and experienced guides offer all the tuition needed. Teaching you the best techniques during the day. They will share with you the history and wonders of this magnificent landscape which few get to see.

Daintree & Cape Tribulation Day

Last, but certainly not least on the Rainforest, Rafting and Reef package. You will head to Cape Tribulation and the Daintree Rainforest. Travelling along on one of the most scenic coastal roads in Australia.

Enjoy a wonderful day visiting the Wildlife Habitat. Hop aboard a Daintree River Cruise. Visit the breathtaking Alexandra Lookout. Stroll along the famous Cape Tribulation beach. To fully appreciate the ancient Daintree Rainforest it is a must to cross the Daintree River into the heart of the “Wet Tropics Rainforest”. Not long after the drive of the cable ferry, you will find yourself in a different world.

Tour Itinerary

REEF

  • 07:30 – Board Reef Experience boat at the Cairns Marina ‘A-Finger’ for check-in View map to Cairns Marlin Marina
  • 08:00 – Approximate departure & Safety Talk with snorkel briefing
  • 08:30 – Marine Biology presentation, followed by a detailed scuba dive briefing for those participating
  • 09:30 – Arrive at our first spectacular reef site, snorkel & dive with thousands of vivid tropical fish, giant clams plus more
  • 10:30 – Glass Bottom Boat Tour (approximately 20-minute tour)
  • 12:30 – Lunch
  • 13:00 – Cruise to our second location to explore forests of coral, large sea fans & black coral trees in its shallow lagoons
  • 15:00 – Depart the Great Barrier Reef
  • 15:30 – Glass of wine, tropical fruits, cheese & biscuits
  • 16:30 – Arrive back in Cairns

RAFTING

  • Depart Hotel approximately 2.00pm
  • Barron River White Water Rafting
  • Return Hotel approximately 5.30pm

  • 06:45 – Bus transfers commence from Cairns City accommodation
  • 0845 – Arrive at The Wildlife Habitat (Port Douglas)
  • 1100 – Cross Daintree River on cable-driven ferry
  • 1215 – Cape Trib Beach House for a Tropical Lunch
  • 1315 – Cape Tribulation Beach and Rainforest boardwalk
  • 1535 – Alexandra Lookout
  • 1600 – Depart north side of Daintree River Cruise
  • 1700 –  Depart South side of Daintree River Cruise
  • 1800 – Arrive Port Douglas Accommodation
  • 1900 – Arrive back to Cairns

What to Bring

REEF

We have a passion for showing you Australia’s Great Barrier Reef, so please make sure you understand the scuba diving laws.

Queensland, Australia has some of the strictest scuba diving rules in the world but also the safest scuba diving record.   The Queensland Government Code of Practice regulates us and comply with all regulations, including medical as is the law.

To avoid disappointment on your day of travel, we strongly recommend that all of our passengers complete our dive medical questionnaire.

Some medical conditions, age and medications may prevent you from scuba diving.

It is always our mission to provide our passengers with the very best Great Barrier Reef experience.

Flying after Scuba Diving

For a single no-decompression scuba dive, you should not fly or go to altitude for at least 18 hours after a scuba dive.  For multiple dives, you should not fly for 24 hours after your last dive. If Skydiving or Hot Air Ballooning you must wait 24 hours after your dive. We recommend waiting a minimum of 24 hours whenever possible

RAFTING

  • Minimum age: 12 years’,
  • under 18 years must travel with a guardian or parent
  • Rafting is not suitable for anyone pregnant

 

  • This Cairn Tour package does not include any overnight accommodation, evening meals or breakfast. The Cairns Reef, Raft and rainforest package can arrange in any order.
